RICARDO HAS SUCCESSFUL BRITISH OPEN!

Ricardo knocked out world no.11 Rod Mcnaughtan 6/3 6/3 4/6 0/6 6/1 to reach the last 16 where he faced Rob Fahey (again....) an lost 0/6 3/6 5/6. But put up a close fight with Rob it was a promising performance.

Ricardo and partner Bryn Sayers crushed number 5 seed's Adam Phillips and Andrew Lyons 6/1 6/3 6/1 to reach the quarter finals of the doubles. They played good friends Camden Riviere and Ben Matthews in the next round where they came unstuck 3/6 4/6 5/6. Bryn and Ricardo are shaping up into a very good doubles team as there results are showing!!

AJ MAKES ANOTHER CATEGORY FINAL APPEARANCE!

Aj travelled all the way up to Moreton Morrell to play the national Category C tournament! He won his first match against Freddy Adam (6-4 6-1) which put him into the semi-finals, his opponent pulled out after Aj had taken a 3-0 lead. Aj then met Tim Henmans brother Mike Henman in the final, he claims that Mike hits the ball 'incredibly hard'. Mike won the match 6-1 6-2 however Aj has had a great start to the season and should be proud of himself!

Ricardo lost to Camden Riviere 3/6 3/6 in a tight bad tempered affair.

Bryn beat Ben Ronaldson 5/6 6/3 6/4 showing the sort of fightback our team will need this season.

Bryn and Ricardo lost the doubles 8/5! They lost the match 2/1 but gained 2 away points!

You should of received an email or a letter from the pros about this event! Its the friday night before the 'Kemp+Smith' handicap doubles tournament.

£30 for adults £25 for juniors (under 16)

This includes - Glass of champagne on arrival - Exhibition match at the club - A lovely three course meal at the hall.

The exhibition match starts at 6:30pm.

Ricardo loses badly in first round of the European Open at lords.

Ricardo loses twice in 5 days to world champion Rob Fahey he played poorly as Rob won 6/2 6/2 6/0. Rob continues to show his dominance over the younger players on tour.

Ricardo Makes French Open Quarter-Finals.

Ricardo beat Charlie Packham 6/0 6/2 6/3 in the first round to set up a quarter-final with World Champion Rob Fahey. Rob Beat Ricardo 6/1 6/4 6/3.

With doubles partner Bryn Sayers they made the Semi-finals of the french Open doubles beating Rod Mcnaughtan and Alastair Mackeown 6/1 6/4 but then getting 'crushed' (as ricardo said) 6/1 6/1 by Nick Wood and Camden Riviere.

Its exciting times for Ricardo - if he keeps making quarter finals or better he will soon be a top 10 player.

JUNIOR QUEENS

ALL OF THE JUNIORS FROM PRESTED HAVE DONE US PROUD YET AGAIN AT QUEENS SHOWING A BIG IMPROVEMENT FROM PREVIOUS YEARS. NICK MENZIES AND JAMES BROWN PLAYED VERY WELL AND JUST MISSED OUT ON PROGRESSING TO THE NEXT STAGES IN THERE RESPECTIVE GROUPS. AMY HUNTER WAS A STAR AT JUST 8 YEARS OLD HELD HER OWN AGAINST SOME MORE EXPERIENCED JUNIORS. HUGH VERMONT AND TOBY BAWDEN HAD GREAT RUNS IN THERE RESPECTIVE AGE GROUPS PROGRESSING THROUGH AND NEARLY MAKING THE FINAL STAGES. LEWIS WILLIAMS AND CLAIRE VIGRASS WERE SEEDED IN THERE GROUPS AND BOTH FINISHED THIRD. THE STAR OF THE PRESTED SHOW WAS YOUNG WILL HUNTER WHO MADE PRESTED HALL HISTORY BY MAKING THE FINAL OF THE UNDER 12'S OPEN, THE FIRST BOY EVER TO DO THIS!
